Your digital car key

The cambio app serves as your digital car key, granting access to both the safe and the car itself. To utilize this feature, navigate to the home screen and tap the ‘Open car’ button when you're in proximity to the safe or car (please note that this feature does not apply to any locking functions in car parks, etc.). Additionally, you can also use the app to return the car in the same manner.

Before setting off in the cambio car, it's important to inspect it for any damage.

Can’t find anything? Great! In that case, why not just enter that straight away: to do so, open the ‘Damage Check’ button in the app and indicate that you haven’t found anything.

You can also rate the cleanliness of the car, both inside and out. This helps us to clean the cars in good time should they become dirty sooner than our algorithm predicts. Please continue to report any specific issues, such as pet hair or cigarette odours, directly to the booking service.

Which is your favourite station?

Typically, you'll find yourself frequenting the same stations—those conveniently close to your workplace or just around the corner from home.

To streamline your experience, you can input these preferred stations and other preferences directly into the cambio app. Just navigate to your profile within the app and enter your desired stations and preferred cars.

You can also specify the duration of your booking based on your usual needs. The next time you make a booking request, your details will already be pre-filled, making it a breeze to reserve your ideal car at your favorite station with just two clicks!

Blimey, I’m stuck in a traffic jam and might not make it back in time. What should I do?

Sometimes things don’t go to plan and you need a few extra minutes. By clicking the “Return later” button, you can quickly send a message to our system letting us know that you’d like to keep the car a little longer. 

If this isn’t possible, you’ll receive an immediate notification and should return the car within the booked time. If that doesn’t work, please contact the booking centre straight away so that the person who booked the cambio car is notified and isn’t left waiting at the station, wondering what’s going on. You can also set up this “quick extension” in your profile, as it’s often just a few extra minutes and can be sorted with just two clicks!

How much was my bill in March?

Within the my cambio portal on the cambio app, you can effortlessly access and save your invoices from the past 24 months. Moreover, your journey archive extends back three years and can be sorted based on specific time intervals. To access this feature, simply navigate to the ‘my cambio’ icon within the app and log in. By selecting ‘Stay logged in’, you'll only need to do this once.
