Before starting your journey, thoroughly inspect the car both inside and out. Walk around the vehicle once and visually examine it for any visible defects. This inspection is primarily for your own safety and typically takes only a few minutes. If you fail to check for damage, you may be liable for additional costs.
Here is the procedure:
- Inspect the vehicle for any interior and exterior damage.
- Cross-reference with the damage recorded in the on-board manual. You can also find the damage list in the cambio app.
- Notify the booking service of any newly observed damage.
- Please report all scratches larger than a credit card (8.5 x 5.5 cm) and dents with a diameter larger than a two-euro coin (2.5 cm) to the booking service.
- Additionally, please examine the roof, wheels, exterior mirrors, headlights, rear lights, and windscreen.

Important: Once you have removed the key from the cambio car, you must start the car within 10 minutes. Otherwise your booking will be automatically cancelled.
