You pay driving credit before you make a booking. It is credited to your customer account and taken into account when your trips are billed. You cannot use it to pay for trips that have already been invoiced. If your credit limit is not sufficient for a trip, you can buy driving credit. This gives you more room to make bookings again.
Buying driving credit does not automatically mean that you can book straight away. What matters is whether your credit limit is sufficient for the planned trip after the purchase. Before buying driving credit, check your current credit limit in my cambio. Also consider how much you will need for the planned trip. This applies to everyday trips as well as longer journeys or holidays.
An everyday example
You decide at short notice to spend the weekend in the countryside. Because you have already driven a lot with cambio this month, your credit limit is no longer sufficient. The solution: you buy a suitable amount of driving credit. This restores enough room within your limit and you can book the trip.
How do I buy driving credit?
You can buy driving credit at any time in my cambio:
- Open ‘Zahlungen -> Fahrtguthaben’.
- Select the amount you want to buy.
- Choose one of the available payment methods and complete the purchase.
The driving credit is then credited to your customer account.
What else do I need to know?
- Driving credit can only be used for trips with a cambio car.
- It cannot be used for monthly fees, deductibles, reminder fees or other charges.
- It cannot be paid out or transferred back to your bank account.
- It is valid for three years from the end of the year in which you bought it.
