How to book a cambio car

  • 24/7
  • at the last minute or well in advance
  • via the cambio app, via the website or by telephone
     

 

How to open the car

  • Choose your car in the cambio App, click Button Auto öffnen
  • On-board computer with car key is located in the glove compartment
  • Enter PIN (assigned in the my cambio portal)
  • remove the key

 

 

How to open the car at a key safe station

  • Open the key safe with the cambio app or cambio card
  • A lamp lights up on "your" key.
  • remove the key
  • close the key safe door

 

 

Damage control

  • Check the car's interior and exterior for damages
  • compare with damages in the log book
  • Report new damage to the call center
  • Fine scratches that do not penetrate the metal or are less than a thumb's width do not need to be reported.
  • That's how the damage control works.

 

 

On the road

  • Please refrain from smoking
  • Running late? Use the cambio App to extent your booking.
  • Refuel with a fuel card
  • In the event of a breakdown or accident: Secure the scene of the accident and call the call center.

 

 

Returning the cambio car

  • drop off the cambio car at the station where you picked it up
  • Tank at least ¼ full, windows closed, lights out
  • remove coarse dirt
  • Lock the car with the cambio app.
  • At a station with a key safe: lock the car with the key. Then put the key back in the key safe. Close the vault door.

 

 

Fuel

  • Please fill up if the tank is less than a ¼ full.
  • Pay with cambio fuel card
  • You find the fuel PIN in the cambio app under Aktuelle Buchung.
  • Only fill up with the prescribed fuel (see tank cap).
  • Premium fuel costs will not be reimbursed.
  • Fuel card not usable? Lay out the amount and submit the original receipt to the office.

 

 

Keep the cambio car tidy

  • Smoking is not permitted.
  • Animals may only be transported in exceptional cases.
  • Please return the cambio car the way you would like to take it over yourself.

 

 

Insurance

  • Breakdown letter, liability, full and partially comprehensive insurance with excess are included.
  • The deductible per claim is a maximum of EUR 1,200.
  • Reduce your deductible to 200 euros per claim with the security package.
