Price range and vehicle offerings differ in the cambio cities.
cambio responds flexibly to fuel prices: The kilometer prices are based on an average gasoline price (E5) ranging of 1.55 euros. If the price per liter exceeds 1.70 euros, the cost per kilometer increases by 1 cent; from 1.85 euros, it rises by 2 cents, from 2.00 euros, it increases by 3 cents, and from 2.15 euros it increases by 4 cents per kilometer.
The adjustment amount is determined by the average price of the past 14 days. cambio may maintain prices without change for periods longer than 14 days but not exceeding four months if significant fluctuations in gasoline prices (E5) are anticipated. Any adjustments will be announced with a three-day notice on the first or fifteenth of each month. The same adjustment steps apply correspondingly in the opposite direction for reductions in gasoline prices. You can find the currently valid prices in our tariff table.
From 01 October 2026, the prices per kilometre will be 4 cent higher than the currently valid price list dated 15 January 2026.
In our price list you will find an overview of the fees we charge if things don't work out so well.
All cars have full or partial comprehensive insurance as well as third party liability insurance and a breakdown cover (alternatively: manufacturer assistance). Normally, the excess per claim is a maximum of 1,800 euros.
You can reduce your excess per claim of 300 euros with our Safety Pack.
You can switch your cambio plan on the first day of each month. To do so, log in to the my cambio portal. You can manage your plan under "Vertrag". A €5 fee applies to each plan change.
Please note that any trips continuing beyond the date your plan changes will be charged in full at the rates of your new plan.
